War Child.

Little girl, trying to sleep in your bed
don’t listen to the sound of the bombs nearby
just close your eyes and try not to cry
and let your brother sing you a lullaby.

And don’t listen to the noise of the guns
as the bullets flash by your door, don’t cry
just think of the peace found in sleep
while your brother sings you a lullaby.

Little girl, as you sleep in your bed
when you dream, try not to dream of the day
when soldiers came with their guns
and took your father away.

And when you wake up to a new day
looking for the sun, through the dust and smoke
try to find some hope in that terrible place
as you and your brother strive to cope.

Little girl, war is the world of grown ups
and there is nothing you can do
even if you tell them of your fear and sorrow
no one will listen to you.

But when the war is over and done
and you no longer hear an exploding shell
maybe your young life will be a better place
more like Heaven and less like Hell.

Lonliness - "The Seldom Seen Kid"

The fervant whisper of the never-ending sigh,
a stifled, unwanted struggling cry,
an echoing voice, to quiet to stir,
the perpetual murmur to scared to confer.

To tired to care, to angry for flare,
a face in the crowd for others to stare,
whatever they know they made up themselves,
they know nothing of being left on the shelf,
the seldom seen kid is to common a sight,
the seldom seen kid chooses flight before fight.

The fire that burns, started with a spark,
a meaningless snigger, a stupid remark,
the seldom seen kid a voice one should hear,
the seldom seen kid, not weird jusy unclear.

Title taken from Elbow album of the same name.

Freedom Through It All.

Time seems to slow
under the cracked skin of fate,
shards of fear contrast
with shards of shrapnel this day.
Shells implode and wildly burst
threatening comfort of which we were deprived,
sadness and sorrow are clouding the skies
blue to red, life to death.
Inside the knowing
minds of the men, courage-bound,
I count to ten, hide while I can
the trenches corner me like a bullied victim.
I see blood, not the expected
and so widely expressed 'fun' of war,
rivers flow but I wish not to see
so take me from here, I beg to the Lord...
And then I was free.

Following Steps.

The courage in me stands in awe,
Bemused by the man that holds such pride.
I feel so weak whilst I follow his stride,
Yet I must trail behind.

Inferior senses entangle me within,
No fear of darkness, stone hearted man,
Breaking through life with no problem,
But I must trail behind.

A sensation stirs under my skin,
His stance is strong, his words are thick,
All his peers can sense his strength,
But I must trail behind.

I am beside no more, the courage remains,
Sand in a timer, the old man is dead.
And now who must take his stead,
But me? I whom he had trained.

How much time does it take to say please and thanks, and maybe even a smile or two. Its amazing what the little things can do for you. A little kindness and friendship can go a long way, if you didn't before maybe you can start today. So next time try a yes sir and yes mam and who knows it might make you feel like a new man and woman too, and i almost guarantee its good for you. js

Things are changing all over the planet things can't get much worse,or can it. The storms are gettin more fierce and the crimes more severe, man it makes you want to shed a tear. All this useless killin man the thought is really chillin. People fightin for democracy all over the middle east, sooner or later we will realize its the belly of the beast. Its where it all started and probably where it'll all end, but on our beliefs and values we must not bend. All we can do is the best we can, you can't ask for more from any man or woman js

One day soon you rich fools get a slap too,

While your saying Im free life cant touch me,

If I give to charity for instance,

then my conscience has gone the distance,

God is nearby but you choose lie,

Fear and vanity are the gods you seek,

But you"l see those like me an we tell thee,

Your money gods can"t save ye,

They only gods of your slithered belly,

You love them dont you Rothschild family,

Twisted creeper devil dynasty seed,

An my daughter died see,

Medical science about money,

Life too cheap people so many,

Like old bags with hole in,

We go in grave or dustbin,

Easier give morphine,

It cheap we kill you softly,

Make you for the first time comfortable,

cos were all big companies an its so profitable..

An while all suffer what does god do,

You stay quiet and in fear cos he promised you,

He will act soon and kill all the damn fools,

All fear and lies breed, like fruit on devil tree,

An none of it helped cos my daughter she dead see,

No Im not hiding I want answers to all the lying,

I want to hear the devil crying..

Medical science love the money,

Life is cheap people so many..

While gods and devils are refining and sifting,

Allowing tortured divine human testing,

Perfecting love through misery grants blessings,

Your all free to believe but fear what your hearing..

Some love to judge so we"l never be free,

Burning threads that twist empathy,

An say, I would never do the same as thee,

Far gracious and nobler my integrity,

They work harder an faster a bastard to be,

Takes time to refine while they stretch proud and free,

Upon questioning their reasoning,

Wings boastingly spread,

Saying God he will stand he"l protect me,

So when God says I never knew ye,

You that stayed quiet, you who are cowardly,

for when something is wrong and you never spoke up,

you pretenders that drink from the killer cup,

who say we wait on the kingdom you see,

Our hands are tied by what we believe,

you that are cowards will never be free,

the bravest person by far for me,

the truest love fought I ever did see,

She was my daughter her name was marie..

up from my depths

the monster it calls

blood curdling

hateful

I feel its pull

its hate, its seething

Resentful

Twisted

It rises up

but i force it down

Getting stronger

each and everytime

I HATE YOU

J's Song

I wll lie with you
In the burning sand
As the sun curls our bodies
And the sea calls the land

I will stroke your face
And see the angles with my hands,
I'll hold your body tight to mine
While the big waves roll

I will caress your back
As our tide rushes out
And kiss your mouth
When your breathing subsides

You are in my skin
And you fill my mind
You are the very cord
That binds us to theomnipsyche

I will lie with you
In the vacuum of the universe
In the darkness
And the shining

I will curl round you
Share the heat
Slice the cold
I will not sigh to disturb you

I will lie with you
Around you and about you
I will take you in
And fill the empty

I will roll with you
As the earth explodes
And cover your head
As the apocalypse rides

I will lie with you
On the cool green bank
As the sweet water flows
Where the darkness sank

I will lie with you forever...and then some

P's Song

Two spirits
Dance
by the edge of the sea

Sun diamonds
Sparkle
around them

We sit, you and I,
One on each side of the sand bank
Backs to each other
The wild grass bends abd shivers at the kiss of the wind

I have my thoughts
You have your thoughts
Our hearts beat fiercely with the prompting of our thoughts

Our voices are still

Our tears make tiny rivulets in the sand
And create spirals on our beach dirt feet

Something sits between our hearts and our lips
We bend our heads in unison
The hands of our heart reach out at the same time

But the fingers of our souls are just not long enough

The tendrils of our faith in one another just notstrong enough
To withstand the kiss of the wind

They blow away up into the vastness of our imaginations

A deep sigh
Another chance
Rolls into the past of our brief life sojourn

So we stare longingly through shimmering eyes
Away from each other
Outwards
To where

Two spirits
Dance
By the edge of the sea...

Flesh

For some mourners,
we visualize crying.
It came virtually
in dying.
Songs and whispers
on lonesome nights.
In dying,
on lonely flights...
In the sparrow
that flew over
in dying
over and over.

For some mourners,
we visualize crying.
It came virtually
in flesh.
Songs and whispers
on lonesome nights.
In flesh,
on lonely flights...
In the sparrow
that flew over
in flesh
over and over.

A Few Words from Keith Thompson at Saltways Cheshire Home.

All over the world,
no matter the time or day,
when, with all our cares unfurled
we go upon our way
no matter how many troubles may fill our deceitful mind
we must adopt every circumstance to see what we may find.
