When summer comes and pollen’s high,
the blacken cloud brings heavy sky.
And heavy skies bring drops of rain,
and dusty grass is green again.
and dusty grass is green again.
The thunder scares the unaware,
but drops of rain refresh the air.
but drops of rain refresh the air.
The summer months in waves ‘roll on’,
‘til sun returns, the storm has gone.
‘til sun returns, the storm has gone.
And cricketers on villages greens,
make do with ‘bright spells’ in-between!
make do with ‘bright spells’ in-between!
Summer - life’s most cherished friend,
‘til Autumns breeze brings summers end.
And enters winter; dark and cold.
