If I Look - Shall I Find Him?

I was at this very same place; 35 years ago.
Then; I was a different person
a different person to the person I am now.
Then; the future was this afternoon,
worries were trivial.
and the sun always shone -
what the passing of time does!

Why am I here now -
what brings me back to this place?
Where is the person I was?

If I wait long enough;
will that person turn up?
If I look - shall I find him?
