How can we know what it is we will say when next time we speak?
Rain becomes a river; but does it control where it is going?
Can we control the events that will structure our every sentence -
shape our every word -
and; by twisting and melding our minds to its will;
shape our every thought?
Rain becomes a river; but does it control where it is going?
Can we control the events that will structure our every sentence -
shape our every word -
and; by twisting and melding our minds to its will;
shape our every thought?
...We talk,
and then we talk about what it was we said,
and then we say things about what it was we spoke of,
and then; once spoken,
the words we digest; in our minds we build bridges,
to corners - some barren, some full,
some light and accessible - some dark and remote
Dark corners with no doorways; and then we talk about what it was we said,
and then we say things about what it was we spoke of,
and then; once spoken,
the words we digest; in our minds we build bridges,
to corners - some barren, some full,
some light and accessible - some dark and remote
don’t welcome me in,
like they welcomed the thing that shaped me, the event which made me; who I think I am today.
