EAR WAX

The wax in your ears is handy stuff,
...much more use than belly button fluff!
It’s a bit like blu-tak but isn’t blue
A prit-stick stick; a bit like glue.

It’ll stick down your letter box when the wind blows hard,
Or stick down the snowman on your Christmas card.
Wax up your posters on your bedroom wall,
Or wax over the rip in your best football!

Some say it’s related to the contents of your nose,
Or the hair on your head and the way it grows.
Someone said it’s your brains coming out,
(but they don’t know what they’re talking about!)

Ear wax, also known as cerumen, is produced in the ear canals by glands. Wax acts as part of the ears natural defence system preventing infection due to antibacterial agents. Its moist sticky properties also catch dust, debris and foreign objects which enter the ear.
